CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department arrested a
17-year-old male in relation to the shooting in the 2000 block of McCallie
Avenue.
During the preliminary investigation, the Homicide Investigator discovered
that the victim was the intended target of the shooting. The Investigator
was able to identify the juvenile as the shooter and obtain juvenile
attachments charging him with Aggravated Assault, Felony Reckless
Endangerment, and Tampering with Evidence. He was arrested and transported
to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – On February 17, 2025, at 12:23 p.m., Chattanooga
Police responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 700 block of Ashland
Terrace. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a three-vehicle
crash involving a 2015 Jeep Rubicon, 2021 Nissan Armada, and 2013 Honda
Civic. The officers also found the driver of the Nissan, a 39-year-old man,
deceased. The drivers of the two other vehicles were taken to a local
hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – On February 13, 2025, at 12:04 p.m., Chattanooga
Police responded to a person shot call at a gas station in the 4700 block
of Brainerd Road. When the officers arrived on scene they found a
28-year-old man with life-threatening injuries and a 27-year-old man with
non-life-threatening injuries. The officers immediately began life saving
measures until medical personnel arrived on the scene.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department arrested
32-year-old Kenya White on 12 counts of Solicitation of a Minor by
Electronic Means, Solicitation of a Minor, and Kidnapping.
On February 16, 2023, Chattanooga Police responded to East Lake Academy.
After speaking with the reporting party, it was determined that CPD’s
Special Victims Unit (SVU) in conjunction with the Department of Childrens’
Services (DCS) conduct an investigation.
Chattanooga, Tenn. (February 14, 2025) - The City of Chattanooga is proud

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. On February 10, 2025, at 6:55 p.m., Chattanooga
Police responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 2900 block of South
Hickory Street. When the officers arrived on the scene, they found a motor
vehicle crash involving a 2005 Jeep Liberty and a 2001 Honda Accord. The
officers found the driver of the Accord, a 49-year-old man, with
life-threatening injuries.
Chattanooga Fire and Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene. The
driver of the Accord was transported to a local hospital where he later
died.

intersection of S Lyerly Street / E 12th Street

As a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Entitlement Community, the City of Chattanooga anticipates receiving the following funding for the program year beginning July 1, 2025. Amounts are estimates, based on funding from the prior year.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Grant: $1,535,000
Update
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Update: The passenger in the Chevrolet Impala was
transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
This information is preliminary and is subject to change as the
investigation continues. Chattanooga Police ask anyone with

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. On February 9, 2025, at 2:43 a.m., Chattanooga
Police responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of King Street. When the
officers arrived on the scene, they were unable to locate a victim. A
short time later, the officers were notified of a person shot who arrived
at a local hospital in a personal vehicle. The officers responded and
found a 22-year-old woman with non-life-threatening injuries.
CPD's Homicide Unit responded to conduct the investigation.
