E Brainerd Road between Bass Road and Anderson Drive will be closed Monday,
February 3rd from 8 AM until 5 PM for continued emergency repairs on sewer
lines. E Brainerd is fully reopened now and through the weekend until the
work begins again on Monday.

Hooker Ave north of Central Ave will be closed 8:30 AM until 4 PM on
weekdays from Monday, February 3rd until Wednesday, February 19th. Detours
will be posted.

E Brainerd Road between Bass Road and Anderson Drive is closed daily
between 8 AM and 4 PM for emergency sewer main work. This does require a
temporary detour through the Brainerd Hills subdivision to maintain two-way
traffic on E Brainerd Road. The work will be completed by Friday, January
31st.

that Lieutenant David Young is one of 35 law enforcement officers from
across the United States accepted into the fourth cohort of the University
of Chicago Policing Leadership Academy (PLA) <https://pr.report/IX-faxUZ>.
This program is designed to enhance police leadership, reduce gun violence,
and improve the effectiveness and fairness of policing.

Community Police Academy (CPA).

“Police Chief John Chambers briefed me this morning on the KKK flyers that
were found last night in some Chattanooga neighborhoods and he has assured
me that this matter will be fully investigated and the law will be
enforced. CPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying those
responsible and I urge anyone with information or video that could be
helpful to step forward.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – On January 27, 2025, at 8:55 p.m., Chattanooga Police
responded to the Highland Park area for reports of Ku Klux Klan (“KKK”)
flyers being distributed. When the officers arrived, they spoke with
several community members who found the disturbing flyers in the roadway.
One community member reported seeing a group of people in a truck throwing
the flyers in the roadway.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) donated a
repurposed Harley-Davidson motorcycle to the Cohutta Police Department,
providing support to the agency following a fire in December 2022 that
destroyed nearly all of their equipment.
The motorcycle will be repurposed to support Cohutta's community policing
and safety education programs.The donation will also help Cohutta PD access
new funding opportunities, enhancing their ability to serve the citizens of
Cohutta.

then pursuit.
