CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating
an incident that occurred at the Primrose School of East Brainerd on
January 8, 2025. The investigation is related to a video that was shared
by various media partners showing the actions of a caregiver at the
Primrose School of East Brainerd.
On January 24, the CPD was contacted by the Tennessee Department of
Children's Services to file a police report for the incident.
CPD's Special Victims Unit is conducting the investigation.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. On February 9, 2025, at 1:03 a.m., Chattanooga
Police responded to a person shot call in the 5000 block of Woodland View
Circle. When the officers arrived on the scene, they found a 17-year-old
girl with life-threatening injuries and a 16-year-old girl with
non-life-threatening injuries.
Chattanooga Fire and Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene and
transported the victims to a local hospital.
CPD's Homicide Unit responded to conduct the investigation. The Crime
Scene Unit responded to process the crime scene.
Area of Downtown Chattanooga Alliance Business Improvement District saw
32% reduction in violent crime and 35% decrease in property crime from 2023
to 2024
Chattanooga, Tenn. (February 10th, 2025) - Today Chattanooga Mayor Tim
Kelly and Chattanooga Police Chief John Chambers announced that new data
analysis shows a more than 30% decrease in crime in Downtown Chattanooga
last year.

The 500 block of McCallie Ave will be closed effective immediately for
emergency repairs and paving. Detours will be posted via Douglas Street, E
MLK Blvd and Houston Street. The work should be completed just before rush
hour.

The City of Chattanooga Department of Public Works is proud to announce the
start of the 2025 Paving and Resurfacing Season. Weather permitting, city
and contract crews will resurface the following locations for the week of
Monday, February 10th through Friday, February 14th, all within Council

juveniles for auto burglary and auto theft of a personal vehicle. During
the investigation, the juveniles were linked to recent auto burglaries of
police vehicles in Chattanooga and Soddy Daisy.
